How to choose the right car model for car rental?

1.The heavier the car, the more fuel it costs

Shanghai Reluxtrans Car Leasing pointed out that from the point of view of fuel economy, the weight of a car is directly proportional to its fuel consumption, that is, the heavier the car, the more fuel it consumes, and the economy of use is relatively poor. Every 40 kg increase in the weight of a small car consumes 1% more fuel. However, a self-heavy car has the advantages of better stability under sharp turns and sudden braking, and it is not prone to "floating".

2.the pros and cons of different driving methods

According to the power transmission mode, the car can be divided into four types: "four-wheel drive", "front engine and rear axle drive", "front engine and front axle drive", "engine rear and rear axle drive" : The four-wheel drive method is mainly used in some off-road vehicles. The advantages make the front and rear wheels have driving force, large traction, strong passability, high adhesion, and good stability. The steel plate of the body and transmission system is thicker than that of a car and has a higher safety factor. , Suitable for off-road. But the disadvantage is that the weight is large and the fuel saving is poor. Front-engine and rear-axle driving methods are mainly used in some middle and high-end cars. The advantage is that the load carried by the front and rear axles is basically the same, the power is strong, and the traction is large. When driving on hills, muddy roads and bumpy roads, the dynamics, The anti-skid and stability of the rear wheels are obviously superior to the "front-drive" cars. But its disadvantage is that the drive shaft retreats to the rear axle, causing the floor to bulge. Several total components are arranged separately, occupying a large space, and it is difficult to miniaturize the car. The front-engine and front-axle drive methods are mainly used in small and medium-sized cars. The advantages are that the drive shaft is saved, the floor is flat, the drive train is compact, the weight is reduced, the floor is lowered, and the center of gravity is lowered. But its disadvantage is that the weight moves backward when going uphill, the load of the front axle is reduced, and sufficient traction cannot be generated. On a slippery road, the front axle is not heavy enough to produce enough traction; the front axle is overloaded when going downhill. Especially when braking downhill, the front axle load will further increase. This model is not suitable for use in mountainous areas where there are many up and down slopes. The rear-mounted engine and rear axle drive are mainly used in mini-cars. The advantage is that the drive shaft is saved, the adhesion is large, the traction is also large, the wheelbase is small, there is no exhaust pipe under the floor, and the engine exhaust gas and noise will not pollute the cabin. Inside. But its disadvantage is that the rear axle load is large, the turning is easy to side slip, the control system is too long, the structure is complicated, the cooling system is complicated, and the suitcase is too small.

3.Automatic transmission cars save trouble and money

Automatic gear (also known as automatic transmission) is equipped with an automatic control device, which can automatically adjust the gear position according to the vehicle speed during driving, without manual operation, eliminating a lot of gear shifting and pedaling clutch work. Its disadvantages are that it is expensive, high maintenance costs, and more expensive to use than manual transmission, because the power transmission of the automatic transmission is completed by hydraulic pressure, which will cause power loss during work. Especially when driving at low speeds or stop-and-go in traffic jams, it will increase fuel consumption.

4. Choose cars equipped with radial tires

Compared with cars equipped with bias tires, a car equipped with radial tires can improve abrasion resistance by 50% to 100%, reduce rolling resistance by 20% to 30%, and save fuel by 6% to 8%.

5. Cars with aluminum alloy wheels

The current price of aluminum alloy wheels is still about 2 to 3 times that of steel wheels, but the benefits of their use are much higher than steel wheels:   (1) Lightweight and fuel-efficient;

(2) Good heat dissipation performance, increase tire life;

(3) The roundness is high, which can improve the accuracy of wheel movement and is suitable for high-speed driving;

(4) Good elasticity, improving the ride comfort of the vehicle, and easier to absorb vibration and noise in motion;

(5) 100% recyclable, environmentally friendly products.
